since you've asked....

Many people have asked me how we went about "renting" Chirpy and Tweet. Let me tell you. We went to the local country store, in our case IFA in Salt Lake. We went with a cardboard box. We chose two of the cutest ducks we could find, they supplied us with a bag of food as well as "stuff" for the bottom of the box for them, like hay but softer, I dont know what its called. We paid $5.40 and we left with our gold. Last year, we returned chirpy to the store and an employee took him to her farm, this year she wasnt there, so we took the ducks to a cute little farm out in Highland. I found her through the paper, she had an add out looking for ducklings and we were her answer! When they were giving us a tour of their farm today, her son Matthew introduced us to Daisy the alpaca. She said they were going to sheer him soon, I asked what she was going to do with his fur "I am going to spin it into yarn and make a sweather for Matthew." Wow. Anyway, that is our renting story. Its always a fun few days and is sort of becomming a tradition to have them. When I was little, I had a duck named quackers, I loved that duck. It died in a barn fire. Poor quackers. But we can rest assured our beloved chirpy and tweet will not be meeting their demise in a barn fire. Here are some of this years memories of the easter ducklings! Kind of alot of photos are about to follow, but thats just me, an all or nothing kind of girl!

I am normally not a big fan of using props for pictures, because they usually turn out cheesy, but these little chicks are props I can go for. I still wish we lived by you so you could take pictures of my family. I know I've told you several times, but I am so impressed. It seems like you have mentioned that you do this professionally. If so, we would love to get some taken when we are down in Utah this summer visiting family. If you happen to be around maybe we could try to schedule a date.

I actually dont photography professionally, still in the learning phase, but you better call me when you are here, I would LOVE to see you and would be happy to snap a few photos!

How do you even begin choosing which ones to frame? Your pictures are too awesome! Love the ducky, and I'm so glad they escaped a repeat of quakers fate! :-) You truly are just way too good of a moM!
