Hula..on a sunday afternoon.

Photobucket

I felt slightly bad for Isabella when Buddy brought home a Hula hoop. I've never been able to master the art of Hula-ing, and she needed someone to teach her and it couldnt be me. I shouldnt have been surprised at her drive to learn, she gets that from.... someone. She practiced and practiced and practiced until one afternoon she said "wanna see me hula hoop?" Needless to say, I was so impressed at her determination to learn, and so pleased that she learned something that she gets so much joy out of. And she's so dang cute to watch too!

She Hula's everywhere she can now, its a beautiful thing :) Tonight we went out to enjoy the most beautiful evening walk, not to mention the most awesome sunset! I just love the sun in Utah. The air has a different smell, the general feeling of the earth just speaks peace to me in springtime, I love everything about it. And tonight it was made better with a Hula show. Go Bella :) In posting these, I realize they all have a slighly different coloring to them..thats what happens when you point your camera straight into the sun I guess. I have yet to master that technique, but I love the pictures just the same.

Also,

I have to share something funny that happened today in our CTR 6 class I teach. I was giving a lesson about the golden plates and being hidden, and all that good stuff. I was asking the kids "why was it important for Moroni to hide the plates in the Hill Cumorah? (blank stares....a given) "Would we want animals to uncover than and ruin them? (NO!) "Would we want robbers to get them? (NO!) Then one little boy says " Like hippies, we dont want hippies to get them"

I just thought it was so funny.
