a change is coming...

“"I wonder what Piglet is doing," thought Pooh.
"I wish I were there to be doing it, too."
-A.A. Milne

These are my sentiments as I think of Bella leaving for school everyday in a few days. She is so ready and excited to go, and I am excited right along with her.. shoot, I almost want to go to along with her, I'm secretly a 5 year old at heart. But I am not too swell about change. Having kids will definatly help me get over that quickly.
I'll just miss her.

(can you tell, she is really not that excited :)

And to my wonderful Wein, there is not a day that will pass that we wont think of you and look forward to celebrating the day she can start tooo!!

love is in the air

Photobucket

Buddy and I have opposite schedules. He works or goes to school from 7am to 430 (sometimes 6pm) and I work 3-8. Needless to say, only a creative mind could think of a way to spend any amount of time together. I have been missing him. Tonight, he was home by 2 and I was off work by 6:30 which means we actually had an evening together! On the way home from a walk, he surprised me with this beautiful white rose. Buddy is very romantic, and he loves to surprise me. I love spending time with him without juggeling schedules.
I cant wait until we get more of it.

Obviously, love was in the air tonight, these two just kill me with their love for each other. Dont get me wrong, they do have their moments, but most are like this...which I love!

Photobucket

Speaking of love....to say Moses loves his car shoes would be the understatement of the year! He wants to wear them 24/7 and cries when I have to take them off for bed. I should just let him sleep in them.

Photobucket
Sweet Bella is starting kindergarten in a few days...oh my...thats love and a little tears too (on my part). But she loves her teacher and the idea of something new.
I cant beleive she is getting so big..sniff.

Photobucket
And love was definatly abiding when some old (and I use the word old loosly as you can clearly see how hot we still are) friends met up for a play morning at Liberty Park. Erin is awesome at planning get-togethers, and I am so thankful for it, we had a wonderful time catching up! And can you beleive all of our kids? I was reminsing with Michelle that its so fun to actually meet the kids as we have only seen them on our blogs. It seems like only yesterday when we were newly married and hanging out on the weekends without worrying about kids to put to bed :)

swinging away

Last semester we would tag along with Buddy to Provo for a test he had. We would drop him off at school and then go to the park where Moses and Bella loved to swing. Although Moses doesnt look exceptionally thrilled in the picture, I think he was just concerned as to why I stopped pushing him :) We were just talking about how fun this park was today. Hopefully next semester we can tag along to provo again..I know the park would be happy to see us!

Summer bug fest 08'

We went to weed the garden yesterday morning, I swear, we cant tell a weed from a tomato plant out there! There were many little critters to be found, much to Moses' delight. He will pick up spiders by their back legs and squeal with delight saying "yook!! yook!! pider!" If Spiders didnt give me such a huge case of the heebie jeebie's I would have taken a picture....dang piders! What I was excited to find for them were some "hoppers". After watching them hop around in a large bucket, Bella ran inside for a glass, a tupperware lid and a knife, she's a quick one that Bella. We kept them overnight and then released them this morning. Oh what simple things kids find enjoyment in. They remind me everyday to stop and notice the usually un-noticable things. Tommorows hunt....worms. Oh lucky me.

Our litte Buddy turns 2!

Would you love to be this blissfully happy over birthday cake? He is SO me with those eyes! Moses turned 2 on the 15th. It was a pretty low key day of just having fun and playing together....just what birthdays should be at his age I think :) The hit of the day was when he opened Great Grandma's present...Popcorn and m&m's. It was the first time he sqealishly declared an unsolicited "DAYDOO!" (next picture, I caught him mid-word)
He is such a sweet boy and makes our life so fun an entertaining.

Some of the things he enjoys at 2 are:

1. His Green "Bee-bee" . I remember the time when it was a 3rd of his face!

2. He loves the Cinderella Book for the mean stepmother and Gus Gus. He can do a pretty mean Gus Gus impression..DOH DOH DOH DOH.

3. Finding Nemo

4. Scripture Scouts

5. Dancing

6. Unlocking and opening the door while we are driving..little stinker!

7. Finding bugs in the garden

8. Giving humming kisses

9. Making terrible messes, especially in the bathroom with the sink

10. Playing with his "see-stow"

10. Lastly, He L.O.V.E.S his lion "Yie-yo"

We love you Moses, you are so sweet and fun and loving, we are so lucky to have you!!

Letting go

Its been 3 years since Dad passed away. Its true when they say it gets easier as time goes by. But sometimes, in some moments its still hurts to miss him. Buddy turned to writing as a way to express how he was feeling many years ago. He has a book of the most beautiful poetry I've ever read (I bet you didnt know that about Buddy :) This is the poem he wrote on the day we "tossed him in" (Buddy's words, not mine)

Final View

As you sit
Dock swaying
Breeze blowing
Sweet smell of salt
You gaze at love
Memorize explode
Good times remembered
Peace is felt
Love over flows
Family remains
To the sea you go
Release
Pain subsides
Love swells
Final view enjoyed

The family getaway

5 plane rides

4 ferry boats

&

2 long car rides later

Means we are back from your awesome family "vacation".

Photobucket

The only reason vacation looks like "vacation" is because the purpose in going was to remember and grant the final wish of a very loved Michael, dad, husband, grandpa Coleman. I plan on posting more of that in a few days.

We started off flying to San Diego, my new 1st choice for our next vacation. Although we were only there for a few hours, it was enough to leave me wanting more. Moses was over the moon with the airplanes and let the whole terminal now just how much

Photobucket

Next stop, Seattle! I miss this city!! We then took a car ride to Grandma Coleman's for the night. Early the next morning we drove to Anacortes to catch the Friday Harbor Ferry. If any of you readers have been to the San Juan Islands, you will believe me when I say they are so beautiful. It is such a relaxing place to be. And it never hurts when the house you are staying in has this view. Uncle Bob and Aunt Jodi are the best hosts on the planet. Thank you so much for having us!!

The Ferry rides, with that fresh Puget Sound air is just so awesome. And it feels like home to me.

The next day we ferried to Orcas Island...incredible. We hung out there for most of the day and enjoyed some much needed Pajimula-Cole hanging out time. The following pics are of the awesome Pajimula's; Sabrina, Archie, Ashley, Trenton and of course Grandma Coleman. It was really fun to see them again!

The next day, we had to leave...boo. The only issue with this vacation occured on our way home on Monday. Moses was just ready to be done with any confining space and was quite a bear on the plane rideS home. Turns out, our route was from Seattle to Long Beach, Long Beach to Las Vegas, Las Vegas to SLC...with a 2 year old, its not so fun.

We are happy to be back, but missing family already! We couldnt have made the trip without Grandma Coleman and Grandma/pa Hatch. We both love and appreciate you so so much, thank you for the awesome time together!!

Sunday Curtsy's

Isabella talked in primary today..it was so cute.

Heavenly Father has commanded everyone to be baptized. Jesus wanted to obey all of Heavenly Father's commandments. To show his obedience, Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan by John the Baptist.

"After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.'" --Matthew 3:16-17

We learn in the scriptures that we must be baptized to live again with Heavenly Father and Jesus.

Before children can be baptized, something important must happen. We must have our eighth birthday. By the time we are eight years old we will know right from wrong. We also know how to have faith and to repent.

After we are baptized, we will be confirmed a member of the Church and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. When we are baptized, we make a special promise to Heavenly Father, and he promises us too. This special promise is called a covenant. We promise that we will remember Jesus and keep the commandments. Heavenly father promises us that his spirit will be with us.

When I turn 8, I want to be baptized because I will hear the Holy Ghost and Jesus will be happy with my choice. When I think about the Holy Ghost, I feel happy and warm feelings. I want to be baptized because Jesus wants me to.

although we obviously helped her with this talk, the last paragraph is her own words..which to me, is the best part.

hey there

Photobucket

Blogger marked my blog as spam for some reason. I was blogless for 2 days! I have really depended on this little blog as my creative outlet lately. I've been down about missing "home" and it seems to help me connect to the ones I miss...even if only in my mind. Plus, I was really beginning to fret about this blog. What if it went down for some reason and I lost everything? There are so many stories and memorable moments for our family recorded here that I would be devestated to lose it. So, I am in the process of making my blog book, I was going to wait until December, but what the heck, I started in July of last year, so this year marks the 1st anniversary, no better time than the present right?.
