I cant think of a better way to ring in 2009 than with my parents! They were able to come visit us this week, we have had such a great time with them! I'll have to do a big post on them when I have the time to get all my pictures together. I dont recall if as a young one, I stayed up until midnight, but I do remember my parents making a big deal out of it. at the "stroke of midnight" we would all bang pots and pans and make an awefull lot of noise. Why should it be any different with kids of our own? We celebrated the new year around 10:00 with a procession of lovely loud pot and pan clanking, put the kids to bed, and pooped out ourselves at 11:50. I couldnt even make it 10 minutes, gosh I'm old. Then on new years day we went sledding at my uncles house, they have an awesome hill and the kids just loved it! We had a really fun day. Happy new year everyone!!

thoes are super sweet.... I remember the good ol days of the pots and pans.. Can you believe kaid stayed up till 2:30am!!! We went to some good friends, and we all toasted with sparkling apple cider, Kaid had a coke..Yeah... NOt so good.. he was SO WIRED! Kar on the other hand was quite annoyed at being up so late.. lol.. Love all the pic,

what a fun way to include the kiddos in the New Years celebration! i love tht pictures of them in the snow, it looks like you acieved perfect whitebalance in the snow, which i have heard is NOT easy!
What a great tradition! Pots and pans and early celebrating for the kids....I'll have to try that one next year!
