I hestitate to record this in writing. Bella is a very witty child, I am in love with her personality, but she was just having a bad hair day...if you will.
You know when hair just gets to the point that its stringy and hard to manage? Thats where we were with Bella so I talked her into getting a "trim", Truth be told, I didnt tell the hairdresser to cut this much off, but it was too late by the time I noticed. She was really upset at first. She told the hairdresser..and I quote " I have a bad life" "I live in a cardboard box with duct tape on the side" Huh? Apparently it was hard for her to verbalize exaclty how she felt. I felt bad at first but she just kept going "my mom doesnt like me" "My life is terrible with this hair". There is only so much feeling bad I can do with such a terrible attitude, but my options were few, she was sitting in the chair and I didnt want to embarass her..although she embarrased the heck out of me. And can you beleive this..the hairdress said..and Im not kidding "Is she like this all the time? I feel sorry for you" RUDE! I mean, Bella was definatly on one..but comments like that are not okay, especially when you are a paying customer. When it was done, I took bella outside, gave her a hug, (through clenched teeth, I was so mad) reminded her that its not okay to say I dont like her, but that I was proud she could freely state her feelings, but next time..could she wait till we were in the car? She looked beautiful, the shorter hair makes her pretty features more noticable and she looks darling. It took her about 30 minutes to say " I cant stop looking at my new hair, I am in love with it......and....I'm sorry" All ended well....whew!

oh my gosh!! she looks adorable! I LOVE the new do. Don't love the hairdresser, but I love it!! And that my friend is one heck of a story!
It is a cute cut. I think the hairdresser should have been dying laughing, I would have been. That or looking to turn you in for being so cruel to poor Bella! ;)
What a cute cut on her! She looks great. I am dying at that story! Will that happen to me? Will I handle it as well as you did??? You are a fantastic mother, and she must have just wanted to create a cinderella story to get some reactions. I mean really... a cardboard box. :D
I love it! And the hair dresser - what a keeper! You are such a good mom, to just let her get it all out!
A cardboard box with duct tape???? Isn't that a Monte Python sketch? I'm sure it was embarrassing at the time, but seriously . . . that is hilarious!
Loved the story and adore the sweet, little do on Bella. I enjoyed your comment on my blog the other night about settling in to view The City and knowing your blogging buddy in Idaho is doing the same! I love that you admit your guilty pleasures too! The US mag. during commercials.....what a great idea! Thanks for sharing your blog. I enjoy it.....and swear you need to start up a photog. bus. because your photos are the BEST I've seen! HONESTLY
She looks so grown-up with the new haircut!
Oh, the things that come out of mouths of these little ones!
SHe looks So Cute!!! like a little princess!!! I love love love it!!!! I can not believe that the hairdresser said that... I would have thought that was rude too.. maybe she was kidding.. I can not believe she was serious, if she said it like that..
