Thoughtfull Thursday

I call it thougtfull because my dear grandmother played "mom" to the kids today. I was working (more on that later) and Buddy had class. She read stories, read books, played on the floor with them, fed them lunch, changed diapers, put Mose down for a nap..successfully, which is a feat in itself these days...and most thoughtfull of all, said she loved every minute of it with a smile on her face..how I love this woman. And I have to say what I am thinking....IF ONLY I had a photo of the days happenings..aw well, a visual memory will suffice perfectly.

I started working for a mortgage servicing company, I started yesterday. I am so grateful for work. I feel thankful that I can be a support to our family while Buddy is in school. I know what I do is important for our family, however, I have this inner most conflict that reares its ugly head at the most inconvieniant times when I am trying to be positive! When I get up for work in the morning, I just feel so sad that I wont see the kids for the day. Like tonight for example, I left the office at 5, traffic was a nightmare and didnt get home until 6:15, Moses went to bed at 7. Needless to say, I sang him to sleep in my arms and loved every minute of it. I dont mean to be a Debbie Downer, most days are better than today and I know the kids are happy well looked after (especially today), its just their mom misses them terribly! ( and it looks like they really miss me too doesnt it! :) ..just kidding, I know they do! As Noriene would say: Just be positive and count your blessings...boy, do I.

What a sweet grandma you have! I know someone who takes after her! And, your kids are blessed to have you because it's not the quantity of time, but the quality and they get oodles of that...good quality time with you. You're the best mom ever and you're a great wife to support Buddy during his school!

I love all the fun stories you have about your grandma, lots of people don't have fun ones like that!!! THats so awesome. She sounds like someone everyone should meet at least once in their lives if not more!!!! I'm glad you can support your family, If i got a job, my resume wouldn't be good enough for a job to even make me 2 cents after paying day care or something. And I don't know what in the world I'd do!! So GOOD JOB!! I know sometimes sacrifices are hard, but their are many memories made even with the sacrifices!!! Take care

Just like Kim and Jen... you're kids will remember the love and the fun that you have with them! The blessing with working is that you will make those special mommy times more fun.

Your kids are so lucky to have time to spend with a great-grandma. My kids are getting gypped in that department.
That is really cute, too, what Bella said about her hearing aids. I bet your Grandma got a kick out of that!

You guys, are going to look back in a few years and go phew! We did it! and it was all worth it. The time you are with Gram too is priceless. She's our Electric Grandma. I miss her terribly. Kristin, I love you! You are such a great mom and wife and example for your friend who misses you! You and Buddy are such a good team and need to know that your kids DO and WILL know how hard you work for them and just how much you love them. They feel it, we can all feel it!
