Hi, we're nuts.

There are times in everyones life that things seem a little hectic, and then there are times when things seem totally out of control. We are so there right now. Buddy has 9 days...9 DAYS! left of school. Six years of work has come down to these last 9days. Its very exciting. But just when you think things are smooth sailing, something inevitably happens to change it up..right? Or shall I say "make like interesting" Whatever, it kind of sucks. I just got done typing up a whole long list of everything that is going wrong lately, and then highlighted it all and ... deleted it! It was so refreshing to delete all that crap. Things always work out in the end, even if it seems impossible, you find a way to deal with it all and make it okay, and hopefully learn from it. I'm not intentionally being vague, I'm just trying to focus on the positive. We are SO incredibly thankful for family who supports us and helps us. My mom, my poor mom is spending the night on some couch at the long beach airport tonight just so she can be here first thing in the morning to come save me with the kids and help me so I can work more shifts. My sister was here for the whole week because she knew I could use the help. My other mom, Sharon, just finished her 3rd surgery in 2 months and still offers to help us when she very well could (and should) only be concentrating on herself. My uncle gave us his only car for the day just so Buddy could get to school, he spent the day walking everywhere he needed to be today, and it was over 100 degrees! (had we known this, we would have never allowed it!) We are just so thankful for our family. And I dont know that saying thank you will ever be enough. Someday, I want to help others as we have seen in our life, we will seek those opportunities and I cant wait.

Amen!! I'll try that one time....write down all the bad...then delete them, and focus on blessings. 9 days! I'm so jealous...but I guess you have two more years of a hubby in school than I do, so I guess we'll learn (I'll learn) to be patient! Good Luck with it all!!

That's a sweet post.. I am sure you will help other's when you are at the point when you can, and have things under control. I feel so bad for mom, she's a die hard though, I am glad she is able to come there and help.

I'm so sorry things have been chaotic to say the least, and yet...I love your attitude about it all. You're amazing, and you do and will help others in those ways. So, you deserve a helping hand! I hope the next 9 days go smoothly and CONGRATS to all of you on that huge accomplishment!

One of my favorite hymns is "Be Still My Soul" there is line in the song that says "He shall lead thee as he has the past". When we are going through challenges I like remembering all the times everything worked out, and I know Heavenly Father will make this work as well!
You are so good to look at the positive things in life!
I love the picture (as always) it fits the post so well! Even the yucky things can be made into good fun things! :)
Good luck with the next 9 days and everything in between!

Dear, sweet Kristen- I have never thought of you more amazing as I do right now! I know that you do not want any sympathy due to this post, and although I wish you the best, that is not what I am trying to give! I just truly, truly think that you are awesome! I love your attitude, I love the real life feelings that you are sharing with us! I know that you will conquer the hard times and relish and enjoy the good times to the fullest. And what I love the most, is that you remain the amazing, true, caring person that you are during all phases of life!

Good luck to Buddy during this last stretch of school. Good luck to all of you! It will be worth all the effort and hard times!

Keep your chin up and just keep on writing the bad down and throwing it away! What a great example of persiverance you are to me!
Love ya!!
