Just because WE are feeling stress doenst meen the kids should. They are having a delightful summer, in fact, I wish I were 6 right now, its so carefree. Baskin Robbins is a cold treat that they cant resist, who can, really. And when its been upwards of 100 degree's, its a great way to end a summer night. My mom says summer is all about ice cream and lemonade, swimming and sun. Totally mom!

Bella finished up her first swimming lessons. I should have had her in lessons long before now, but she's always been hesitant of the water and I didnt want to force it on her. She was so proud to show us her face float, jumping off the diving board, and front strokes. Her lessons were at a darling house pool which is quite poplular in our neighborhood, they have been doing lessons for 30 years, I love it.

We have been going to the "pirate pool" and the rec center alot so she can practice her swimming and she beams everytime she accomplishes something new in the water. We are so proud of her not being afraid to try new things and experiancing the fun in them.

I've been attempting the park again, although it is still slightly tortuous, I insist that they play and not hang all over me. I will and do love pushing them on the swings, but as for the slides and climbing things, they are on their own. I take a book which means "leave me alone and play at this fun park, for petes sake"

I love (and agree with!) you park philosophy. I never remember my mom playing with me at the park, yet my children seem to think that that is my only job when we are there.
Swim lessons? I'm impressed!! We start ours this week and am a little nervous! I'm glad to hear she is swimming so well. Great pictures, and keep enjoying these summer days with ice cream and lemonade! :D
lol.. That's too funny.. You bring a book to the park. I wish I could do that.. I am the weirdo that's up on all the little kids play equipment.. Kaid is still watching his " Boundries" and Already last week we had some push downs from kaid.. Luckily the kids and parents were all so understanding... ok.. maybe not the little kids but.. they just had a big ? on there face..
Swim lessons! That's Great.. I am glad, I remember she was a frady cat..she would not do the water in the deep part.. etc.. that's great.. she's growing up so fast.
You are such a good mom! I love all the fun things you do with your kids! And what I love even more is the beautiful pictures you take to capture all the fun memories! You simply are AMAZING!!
I agree with Marta. I love your photos. They tell it all. Oh, how I want ice cream right now. I am already in my pjs, though, do you think B and R would still serve me? I can't wait to share in your summer in a few short days! (ditto on the park thing. I LOVE taking the kids to the park when that magical playing thing happens. It can really go either way). Miss you!
