Easter

Easter was beautiful. We made delicious yummy things and enjoyed a simple easter egg hunt in the front yard. We made these fun cupcakes this year. The kids think its funny that they are in moses bday transformer liners. I think it makes it even moe fun! This Easter we kept it super simple, nothing fancy, at all. In fact, I didnt even purchase new Easter dresses or suits. It was fabulous really because I have been too sick to do it any way, and I didnt feel any guilt about it :) They looked beautiful.

What I loved most though is packing up Easter dinner and taking it to the hospital where Buddy was working a 12. We sat at a quiet table off of the lobby and enjoyed a beautiful meal together. It was so relaxing, and so yummy and most of all, we were together. I have a feeling this wont be the first Easter, or major holiday for that matter, that we will do this. And I love knowing we can still be together even when apart.

p.s. I made THE yummiest glaze for our spiral cut ham. 1 part whole grain dijon mustard, 1 part honey mustard and 1/2 part honey. The whole grain mustard seeds are so tart, yet the honey is so sweet. It was SO delicious and the kids loved it, and they dont even like Ham..so I must have done something right!
