old fashioned christmas and snow dips

Photobucket

Lets face it, things arent like they used to be financially. This year, we were looking at foregoing the yearly christmas sunday clothes, that is until we went to the D.I on Saturday. Okay, truth be told, Buddy thinks Bella's dress is butt ugly, but I find it rather charming and "old fashioned" When I first saw it on the rack, I moved right along, but at second glance, I just fell in love with it, and I think she looked darling at church today. And Moses doned a new sweater from the Gap...for a whole 2.00. I love living frugally. sometimes. We just think our Christmas kids are the sweetest thing, and any chance I get to follow them around and watch them interact, I am there. This Christmas time is especially fun because the magic of christmas is a constant sparkle in Bella's eye, and moses, he walks around saying "Santa bring me Hulk Hands" Santa is most certainly bringing hulk hands..and I cant wait to see the look on his face. Christmas to us is like a month of recognizing blessing after blessing. I swear I spend most of the month in tears of gratitude for my blessings and my savior. I have felt touched by the kindness of others and witnessed blessings that are too obvious to pass as mere coincedence. Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

Her dress is darling. I, too, love the simple Christmas. I went out and bought the Christmas clothes so they could just sit in closets, since our two Sundays before Christmas church was cancelled. No pictures for us...we will be wearing them in January, for sure. I love that they match but not too much and they look like an old fashioned nordic postcard. We miss you guys!

I love DI. When shopping there you know that no one else at church is going to have the same dress on! Always a bonus:)
You captured the moment perfectly.
