Traffic notes and affections

Bella has taken a liking to jabbering. Jabber jabber all day long. We quite enjoy it but her teacher is not so fond. It got to the point that she was talking so much at her table at school, that she wasnt finishing her work, which made the teacher have some talks with me. She came up with the traffic note system. If she does good and doesnt talk too much and finishes her work, she gets a green light, Ok days get a yellow and bad days, you guessed it, a big red light. We told her after 5 green lights, she will get a special day out with us to do whatever is to her liking. She is doing great with the system and has already earned a few "whatever you wish days" but we had one little bump in the road last week when I got this traffic note:

We thought, flirting, peer pressure? These are things we need to teach so young? Then I realized, duh, she is 5, of course we need to teach her about these things! For some reason, I thought kindergarten was going to be just an extension of preschool with extra emphasis on reading and writing. Then that night when she sat down to do her homework and this was the result, it suddenly became clear...this is just the beginning, I have some teaching to do. Plus, lucky is the little boy that has her affections so early.

I am laughing out loud at this one! The traffic light is genius! and, the reward is so cute. I will have to do this with my kids ... but the best.. is the little crush. Let's just hope she's not a heart breaker. :D Adorable!

Watch out you have a girl on your hands! I have a feeling that Hyrum will be the one sending heart notes to the girls too. He is so into blonds as everyone is Cinderella to him. I've gotta watch out with this one too.
